Seahorse free amigurumi pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- 3ply 100% cotton yarn in 3 different colors.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Embroidery thread
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

With light green yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
• Roll the end of the body making a curl, use pins to secure the curl while you sew it (min 19:40)
NOSE
With light yellow yarn start,
1 rnd 5sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 5inc Total 10sts
3 to 5 rnd 10sc
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing
TOP FIN
With blue, chain 24
1 row 2sl, (skp 1, 4dc, skp 1, sl) repeat 5 times, 1sl
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
SIDE FINS
With blue yarn start,
1 rnd 8hdc in a magic ring. Join with a slip stitch
• Cut the yarn and fasten off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
• Make another one following the same instructions.
EYES
With black yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
• Join with a slip stitch changing the color to green,
2 rnd (1sl, 1inc sl) repeat 4 times Total 12slip stitches
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Leave a small tail for sewing it.
• Make another one following the same instructions
ASSEMBLY
- Find the central part of the SeaHorse. Pay attention here so the curl of the tail is facing you. Use pins to fasten the top fin starting in row 5 of the head going down to row 26.
- Sew the nose in rows 10 to 14.
- Sew the eyes between rounds 8 and 12. Leave 10 stitch distance between them.
- With white yarn, make the details inside the black part of the eyes (min 34:45 of the video)
- Sew the Side fins in row 25 and 26 of the body. Leave 21 stitches between them.
- Cut a piece of green yarn and make 5 stripes in its chest, leaving 3 rows between them.
