No-sew whale free amigurumi pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- 3ply 100% cotton yarn in 3 different colors.
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

FINS
With Blue yarn start by making the back fin (tail),
1 rnd 4sc inside a magic ring
2 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 2 times Total 6sts
3 rnd 6sc
4 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
5 and 6 rnd 12sc
7 rnd (1sc, 1dec) repeat 4 times Total 8sts
8 rnd 8sc
9 rnd 4sc (fold the fin in half and crochet together one side to another)
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Make another one following the same instructions
SIDE FINS
With the blue color yarn start,
1 rnd 4sc inside a magic ring
2 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 2 times Total 6sts
3 rnd 6sc
4 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
5 rnd 12sc
6 rnd 6dec Total 6sts
7 rnd 3sc (crocheting together one side to another)
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Make another one following the same instructions,
BODY
With blue yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
5 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

18 rnd 8sc crocheting together the back fins (4 stitches from one fin plus 4 stitches from the other one), 10sc, 3sc (crocheting together the side fin), 20sc, 3sc (crocheting together the other side fin), 10sc. (min 00:14 of the video part 2)
• Change to light yellow color yarn
19 rnd 54blsl
20rnd BL(7sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 48sts
21 rnd (6sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
22 rnd (5sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
23 rnd (4sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
24 rnd (3sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
25 rnd (2sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
• Stop here for stuffing the whale.
26 rnd (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Hide the remaining tail inside the whale.
EYES
With black yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
• Join with a slip stitch changing the color to light yellow,
2 rnd (1sl, 1inc sl) repeat 4 times Total 12slip stitches
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Leave a small tail for sewing it.
• Make another one following the same instructions
EYES ASSEMBLY
- Sew the eyes between rounds 13 and 17. Leave 12 stitch distance between them.
- With white yarn, make the details inside the black part of the eyes (min 13:09 of the video part 2)
