No-sew Turtle free amigurumi pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- Sports yarn 100% cotton in 3 different colors. The brand I used for this turtle is Mondial Lane basic cotton. For similar yarn with the same quality and thickness I recommend this one, which I also use for many of my projects.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Embroidery thread
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

BACK PAWS
With light yellow start
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
5 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
6 rnd 15sc (fold in half and crochet together one side to another)
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Make another one following the same instructions.
FRONT PAWS
With light yellow start
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
5 rnd 12sc (fold in half and crochet together one side to another)
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.

NOTE:
- The chain 1 does not count as a stitch.
- For row 13, you will work in the remaining back loop of row 11.
14 rnd 52sc*
*in the next round, you will start crocheting together the finished pieces.
Starting by the tale. In the remaining 2 stitches left from the previous round start,
15 rnd 4sc crocheting together the tail (remember, here 2 stitches are from previous round), 5sc, 3sc (crocheting together the back paw), 5sc, 3sc (crocheting together the front paw), 6sc, 6sc (crocheting together with 6stitches from the head),6sc, 3sc (crocheting together the front paw), 5sc, , 3sc (crocheting together the back paw), 5sc
16 rnd 24sc, 6sc crocheting the remaining stitches of the head*, 24sc.
*here, you will ignore the 6 stitches from the head you crocheted before in round 15 and, crochet the 6 stitches remaining of the head. The total amount of stitches in should always be 54sts.

17 rnd (7sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 48sts
18 rnd (6sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
19 rnd (5sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
20 rnd (4sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
21 rnd (3sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
22 rnd (2sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
Stop here for adding stuffing material.
23 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 12sts
Cut the yarn and fasten off.
EYES
With black yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
• Join with a slip stitch changing the color to blue,
2 rnd (1sl, 1inc sl) repeat 4 times Total 12slip stitches
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Leave a small tail for sewing it.
• Make another one following the same instructions
EYES ASSEMBLY
- Sew the eyes between rounds 4 and 8. Leave 10 stitch distance between them.
- With white yarn, make the details inside the black part of the eyes (min 23:01 of the Turtle amigurumi video tutorial part 2)
