Today I share this crochet mini Teddy Bear amigurumi free pattern! The best part is fast to crochet!

Little Teddy Bear amigurumi free pattern

Materials:

  • 2mm crochet hook 
  • Two shades of brown (or any color you would like your bear to be!). I used 100% cotton, light worsted, 6ply.
  • Black thread for embroidering the eyes. 
  • Stuffing material
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle.
  • Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

Finish size: 7,5cm or (about) 2,5 inches

Terms and abbreviations (US terms):

Single crochet (sc): insert the hook into the stitch, pull up a loop yarn over the needle, you will have two loops on the hook, yarn over the needle, and pull it through the two loops.

Increase (inc): make two single crochet inside the same stitch.

Decrease (dec): Insert hook into front loop only of next two stitches, yarn under, pull through, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn under and pull through both loops on the hook.

Back loop Slip stitch (blsl): Insert hook into the back loop only of the stitch, yarn under, pull through both stitch and loop on hook.

HEAD and BODY

With color A yarn start,

1 rnd  6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd  6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd  (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd  (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

5 rnd  (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

6 to 11rnd  30sc

12 rnd  (1sc, 1dec, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

13 rnd  18blsl

• For the next round, you will work in the remaining front loop of round 12.

14 rnd  FL(2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

15 to 18 rnd  24sc

• For the next round, you will work in the back loop only.

19 rnd  BL(2sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

20 rnd  (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts

• Cut the yarn, fasten it off and hide the remaining tail inside the toy.

BACK PAW

With color B start,

1 rnd  6sc in a magic ring

2 rnd  6inc Total 12sts

• Change to color A

3 to 5 rnd    12sc

6 rnd  6sc crocheting the sides together, closing the paw.

• Cut the yarn, fasten it off and leave a tail for sewing it.

• Make another one following the same instructions.

FRONT PAW

With color B start,

1 rnd  6sc in a magic ring

2 to 4 rnd  6sc

5 rnd  3sc crocheting the sides together, closing the paw.

• Cut the yarn, fasten it off and leave a tail for sewing it.

• Make another one following the same instructions.

EARS

With color B start,

1 rnd  4sc in a magic ring

• Change to color A, chain one and turn the work

2 rnd  1sc, 1inc, 1inc, 1sc

• Cut the yarn, fasten it off and leave a tail for sewing it.

• Make another one following the same instructions

NOSE

With color A start,

1 rnd  6sc in a magic ring

2 rnd  (1inc, 2sc) repeat 2 times Total 8sts

3 rnd  8sc

• Cut the yarn, fasten it off and leave a tail for sewing it.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Use pins to fasten the back paws under the bear’s body. Sew it under the bear.
  2. Sew the arms taking 3 rounds from the body. Starting in round 14 and finishing in round 16.
  3. Sew the ears in round 3 of the head, taking 5 rounds in length.
  4. Sew the nose 3 rounds above the neck.
  5. Embroider the eyes in round 7 leaving 5 stitches between them.
  6. Embroider the nose in a triangle shape in the central part of the nose. Leave a space of 1 round between the face and the nose.
