Finished Size
The finished amigurumi Alice measures approximately 5″ (13 cm) tall. However, the final size may vary depending on your stitch tension and the materials used.
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, so feel free to use a hook size that matches your chosen yarn. I always recommend using a slightly smaller hook to keep the stitches tight and prevent the stuffing from showing through. If needed, adjust your hook size for a neater finish.
However, if you’d like to know the gauge for my chosen yarn and materials, here it is:
With sport-weight yarn and a 2mm crochet hook, the gauge for 5 rounds (increasing to 30 stitches) measures approximately 1.8″ (4.8 cm).

TIP: If your starting stitch is in a different position than mine, the arms will be in a different position. To avoid that, find the 5 central stitches in the front of the doll. This should be the distance between one arm and another. Having these 5 central stitches, adjust the position of where you should crochet together the arm with the body.

5 and 6 row 8sc
- Cut the yarn and fasten off.
- Attach the yarn in the top part of the detail and chain 14. Cut the yarn and fasten off.
- Make the same process on the other side.
- Now, attach the yarn to the edge of row 4 and again make 14 chains. Cut the yarn, and make the same process on the other side of the row.
- This will leave the detail with 4 strings, two on the top to tighten in the back of the neck. And two on the waist for tightening in the back of the doll.

Assembly
- Fasten the pinafore on Alice’s body with simple knots.
- With an embroidery needle, embroider the eyes in round 25 of the face, leaving 5 stitches between them.
- Place the hair on top of the head and sew around the head.
- With your fingers, organize the hair strings in a way that looks symmetrical to you. Use pins to help you with the hair.
- Take the hairband, use it to fix the hair where you want, and make a simple knot on the back.
TIP: If you want the hair better organized, use pins to fasten the curls where you want them to stay and make small stitches with the same color of the hair, replacing the pins.

Thank you Ana for all your adorable Amigurum. I especially like the Alice in Wonderland Amigurum. My 8 year old granddaughter participates in ice skating competitions. You are not allowed to throw live flowers anymore but stuffies are okay. I wanted my stuffies to be special so I made all the Amigurum from the Wonderland series. I think she would also like the Amigurum from the Wizard of Oz for next year. A Harry Potter series would be great if you have the time to create one. Thanks again for all love you put into your creations.
How wonderful Cynthia! Thank you for your lovely comment! I do have plans to make the Wizard of Oz! I think it will look adorable and it deserves its collection!
