HEART

With green start,

1 rnd  6sc in a magic ring

2 rnd  6inc Total 12sts

3 rnd  12sc

• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

• Make another one following the same instructions.

• Don’t cut the yarn of the second detail. Instead, crochet together with the previously finished detail by introducing the loop of the needle inside one stitch of the finished detail.

4 rnd   24sc (12 from one finished detail plus 12 of the one   you were working on it)

5 rnd  24sc

6 rnd  5sc, 1dec, 10sc, 1dec, 5sc Total 22sts

7 rnd  (9sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 20sts

13 rnd  6inc Total 12sts

14 rnd  (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

15 rnd  (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

16 rnd  (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

• Change to light brown (or to the same color as the pot)

17 rnd  30blsl

• Tip: slip stitch tends to have tighter tension than the single crochet. Here, make sure to have a bit of loose slip stitch to follow the same stitch tension as the previous round.

• Take the pot, place it together with the piece you are working on now, and start crocheting together, closing the pot.

• Here you will grab the back loop of the slip stitch from the previous round and the front loop of the back post single crochet from the pot, and work a sl.

• Work about 24sl and stop for adding stuffing material before closing completely.

18 rnd  30sl crocheting together the pot and cactus.

• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

FINAL DETAILS

  1. With the beige color, attach the yarn on the remaining front loop of the round 5 from the pot. Work 24sc in the front loop of round 5. Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
  2. With black thread, embroider the eyes in round 9 of the pot leaving 6 stitches between them.
  3. With the same black thread, embroider a little mouth with 2 stitches length in round 9 between the eyes.
  4. With white thread, embroider a couple of Xs on the heart.
