Lady Liberty amigurumi free pattern
Materials:
- 8mm crochet hook
- Chenille yarn of your preference, two colors. One for the Lady Liberty and one for the flame. I used the brand Alize Vellut. Similar yarn weight and texture suggestions can be Universal Yarn and Creative World crafts.
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.
Finish size: 32cm or (about) 12.5 inches

Plush Crochet Lady Liberty Pattern Instructions
DRESS
With pale green chain 26 and start crocheting in the first chain, closing a circle.
For the first round, you will crochet in the third loop of the chain (if you don’t know where is located the third loop, watch the minute 0:52 of this video).
1 to 6 rnd 26sc
7 rnd 5sc, 1dec, 12sc, 1dec, 5sc Total 24sts
8 to 12 rnd 24sts
13 rnd (2sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
DRESS DETAIL
With pale green chain 35. Start crocheting in the first chain, closing a circle.
1 rnd 10sl, 25sc
2 and 3 rnd 10blsl, 25blsc
• Join with a sl.
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Leave a small tail for sewing it.

BODY
With pale green yarn start
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd 12bpsc
4 and 5 rnd 12sc
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Make another one following the same instructions.
• Don’t fasten off the second leg and connect the two legs by inserting the loop of the needle inside one stitch of the first leg, following,
6 rnd 24sc(12 from each leg)
7 to 10 rnd 24sc
11 rnd (6sc, 1dec) repeat 3 times Total 21sts
12 to 14 rnd 21sc
15 rnd (5sc, 1dec) repeat 3 times Total 18sts

• Stop here for adding stuffing material before continuing.
• For the next round, you will crochet together with the dress.

Continue working with the green.

9 rnd 4sc (crocheting the sides together, closing the arms)
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Leave a small tail for sewing it.
TORCH
With pale green start,
1 rnd 4sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 4sc
3 rnd (1inc, 1sc) repeat 2 times Total 6sts
4 rnd 6sc
5 rnd 6FL inc Total 12sts

• Join with a sl.
• Cut the yarn, fasten it off, and leave a small tail for sewing.


FLAME
With yellow start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 and 3 rnd 6sc
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 2 times Total 8sts
5 rnd 8sc
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Sew the flame inside the torch
BOOK
Chain 5. Skip the first chain and start,
1 to 4 row 4sc, chain 1 and turn.
• After row 4, crochet the contour around the detail following 3sc in the corner, 4sc going down, 3sc in the next corner, 3sc, 3sc in the next corner, 4sc. Join with a sl.
HAIR
With green color yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
5 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
6 rnd (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
7 rnd (5sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
8 to 11 rnd 42sc
12 rnd chain 2, 12dc, chain 2, 1sl, chain 2, 12dc, chain 2, 1sc, (chain 7, skip the first chain, 6sc, join with sc) repeat 16 times.
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Leave a long tail for sewing it.
CROWN
With pale green chain 28. Skip the first chain and start,
1 row 27sc, chain 1, turn
2 row 1blsc, (chain 5, skip the first chain, 1sl, 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, skip one st from the foundation, 3blsc) repeat 7 times, 1blsc
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a tail for sewing it.

ASSEMBLY
- Place the hair on Lady Liberty’s head, and use pins to fasten the hair to prevent moving while sewing it. Sew all around the hair.
- Sew the crown above the round with the double crochet.
- Sew the left arm between rounds 7 and 11 of the body.
- Dress the dress detail, placing it over the left shoulder. Sew it around the body.
- Place the book on her left hand and sew it.
- Sew the right arm in round 11, taking 4 stitches in length. Add a small stitch to sew the arm on her face so it remains standing.
- Sew the torch in the third round of the arm.
- Embroider the eyes in round 24 leaving 5 stitches between them.
