Once you finish the last single crochet of row 9, reaching the beginning of the foundation round of the skirt patch, find 12 stitches from the foundation round of the finished skirt and start crocheting together with the side detail.
Here, you will grab the whole stitch from the side detail and the front loop only of the finished skirt. Continue working with the white color.
Once you finish the 12 stitches from the finished skirt, and reach the last stitch of the foundation row of the side detail, start crocheting way down the skirt patch. Make 2 stitches in the first hole, and 7sc going down, 2sc inside the first stitch of the bottom.
Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
You will repeat the same process for the other side of the skirt, crocheting the finished side detail in red.
