Crochet Christmas Tree applique free pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- Green, brown and yellow sports cotton yarn.
- Embroidery thread for the baubles.
- Embroidery needle
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
Finish size: 9 cm or 3,5 inches.

TREE
With green yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
• For the next round and the rest of the pattern, you will work only in the back loop of the stitch.
2 rnd 1sc, 1inc, 2sc Total 5sts (two stitches left unworked)
• Chain 1 and turn
• For now on, start crocheting in rows. At the end of each row, chain one and turn. The chain here does not count as a stitch.
3 row 2sc, 1inc, 2sc Total 6sts
4 row 3sc, 1inc, 2sc Total 7sts
5 row 3sc, 1inc, 3sc Total 8sts
6 row 3sc, 1inc, 4sc Total 9sts
7 row 4sc, 1inc, 4sc Total 10sts
8 row 4sc, 1inc, 5sc Total 11sts
9 row 5sc, 1inc, 5sc Total 12sts
10 row 5sc, 1inc, 6sc Total 13sts
11 row 6sc, 1inc, 6sc Total 14sts
12 row 6sc, 1inc, 7sc Total 15sts
13 row 7sc, 1inc, 7sc Total 16sts
• Now, you will start working the contour of the tree, making:
2sc in the same stitch in the corner, starting to go up. 11sc on the side, (1dc, chain 1, 1dc) in the top, 11sc on the other side, 2sc in the corner, join with a sl.
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
TRUNK
Find the four central stitches at the bottom of the tree.
Attach the brown yarn and start:
1 row 4blsl
2 row chain 2, 4FLdc, chain 2
• Join with a slip stitch in the same place that you did the last double crochet.
STAR
With yellow yarn make a magic ring and work inside
1 rnd (1sc, 1dc, chain 1, 1sl) repeat 5 times.
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Leave a tail for sewing on top of the tree.
FINAL DETAILS
- Sew the star on top of the tree.
- With embroidery thread, embroider the baubles on the tree with the colors of your choice.
