
Welcome to the second edition of amigurumi Christmas Ornaments! This year, once again the collection has four characters! Mrs. Claus, the Nutcracker soldier, Gingerbread man, and chubby penguin.

Gingerbread man amigurumi free pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- White, brown, red, green and yellow. I used 100% cotton, fingering, 3ply.
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.
Finish size: 11cm or (about) 4,3 inches

BODY
With brown yarn start
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd 12sc
• Change to white,
4 rnd 12sc
• Change back to brown,
5 rnd 12sc
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Make another one following the same instructions.
• Don’t fasten off the second leg, chain 3. Connect the two legs by inserting the loop of the needle inside one stitch of the first leg, following,

• Change back to brown,

23 to 30 rnd 42sc
31 rnd (5sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 36sts

34 rnd (2sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
• Stop here for finish stuffing the Gingerbread man.
35 rnd (1sc, 2dec) repeat 2 times Total 12sts
• Cut the yarn, fasten it off, and hide the remaining tail inside the toy.


ARMS
With brown yarn start,
1 rnd 5sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 5inc Total 10sts
3 and 4 rnd 10sc
• Change to white color yarn,
5 rnd 10sc
• Change back to brown,
6 to 9 rnd 10sc
• Stop here for adding a little bit of stuffing material,
10 rnd 5sc crocheting the sides together, closing the arm
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a tail for sewing it.
TOP OF THE HEAD
With red yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd 12sc
4 rnd 6dec Total 6sts
• Change to white color yarn.
• For the next round you will work only in the front loop of the stitches.
5 rnd FL 6inc Total 12sts
6 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
7 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
8 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
9 rnd (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
10 rnd (5sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
11 rnd (skip 1, 3dc in the same stitch, sl) repeat 14 times
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.
• Leave a long tail for sewing it.

CHEST FLOWERS
With green color start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring, join with a slip stitch.
• Cut the yarn and fasten it off. Leave a small tail for sewing it.
• Make another one in red following the same instructions.
ASSEMBLY
- Sew the arms between rounds 18 and 19.
- Sew the flowers in the center of the chest.
- Place the top on its head and sew it around. Here, you don’t need to sew every stitch to the head. You can sew just the spikes, taking the middle double crochet.
- With yellow color, embroider a couple of sprinkles.
- Embroider the eyes in round 24 of the Gingerbread man leaving 4 stitches between them. Add the eyebrow two rounds above the eye, going down to rounds and one stitch beside the eye.
- With red embroider the mouth starting from round 22, to between rounds 21 and 22. Taking 4 stitches length.

Reading through the written pattern you will arrive at the last step, called ASSEMBLY.
Step number 5, is where the position of the eyes should be placed!
