In this blog post, I share this little doll that I call “Farm Girl”. I made her to be friends with this other mini amigurumi doll. It is a simple pattern, with a complete video tutorial and suitable for amigurumi beginners. Also, it is fast to crochet!

Farm Girl little amigurumi doll free pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- I used 4ply cotton yarn, colors beige, blue, purple, black and yellow. But you can use any yarn of your preference!
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes,
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Embroidering needle for the eyes
- Finish size: 9cm

Terms and abbreviations (US terms):
Single crochet (sc): insert the hook into the stitch, pull up a loop yarn over the needle, you will have two loops on the hook, yarn over the needle, and pull it through the two loops.
Increase (inc): make two single crochet inside the same stitch.
Decrease (dec): Insert hook into front loop only of next two stitches, yarn under, pull through, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn under and pull through both loops on the hook.
Back loop Slip stitch (blsl): Insert hook into the back loop only of the stitch, yarn under, pull through both stitch and loop on hook.
LEGS
With purple yarn start
1 row 6sc in a magic ring
2 row 6inc Total 12sts
3 row 12bpsc

• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Make another one following the same instructions.
• Don’t fasten off the second leg, change to blue color, and connect the two legs by inserting the loop of the needle inside one stitch of the first leg, following,
5 row 24sc (12 from each leg)
6 row (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
7 to 9 row 30sc
• Change to yellow color yarn
10 row 30blsl
11 row 30blsc
12 row (13sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 28sts
13 row (12sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 26sts
14 row (11sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 24sts
15 row (10sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 22sts
16 row (9sc, 1dec) repeat 2 times Total 20sts
• Change to skin color tone,
17 row 20blsl
• Stop here a little bit and don’t cut the yarn off.
JUMPER
• Start working the jumper!
• For the jumper, find the eight stitches in the middle of her chest, attach the yarn in the first stitch counting from the left, chain one and start
NOTE: at the end of each row, chain one, and turn
1 and 2 row 8sc
3 row 1dec, 4sc, 1dec Total 6sts
4 row 6sc
• Chain 14 and connect with a slip stitch on the back of the doll, on the opposite side than where the chain starts.
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Fasten off and hide the remaining tail of all the blue yarn, and continue working from where you previous stopped, moving forward to row 18.
18 row FL(6sc, 2 inc, 2sc, 2 inc) repeat 2 times Total 28sts
NOTE: 2 inc = 3sc in same st
19 row (8sc, 2inc, 4sc, 2inc) repeat 2 times Total 36sts
20 row (9sc, 2inc, 6sc, 2inc) repeat 2 times, 2sc Total 44sts
21 to 28 row 44sc
29 row (9sc, 2dec, 5sc, 2dec) repeat 2 times Total 36sts
ps: 2dec = 1invDEC following by another invDEC (4sts becoming 2)
30 row (7sc, 2dec, 3sc, 2dec) repeat 2 times Total 28sts

Stop here for finish stuffing the doll.

• Cut the yarn, fasten off and hide the remaining tail inside the head.
HAIR
With black yarn start,
1 row 6sc in a magic ring
2 row 6inc Total 12sts
3 row (4sc, 2inc, 2inc) repeat 2 times Total 20sts
4 row (6sc, 2 inc, 2sc, 2 inc) repeat 2 times Total 28sts
5 row (8sc, 2inc, 4sc, 2inc) repeat 2 times Total 36sts
6 row (9sc, 2inc, 6sc, 2inc) repeat 2 times, 2sc Total 44sts
7 to 13 row 44sc
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
ARMS
With skin tone yarn of your choice start,
1 row 5sc in a magic ring
2 row 5inc Total 10sts
3 to 5 row 10sc
• Change to yellow color yarn,
6 row 10blsl
7 row 10blsc
8 and 9 row 10sc
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
• Make two following the same instructions.
ASSEMBLY
- Sew the arms at row 15.
- Place the hair on top of the head and sew around the head.
Tip: use pins to fasten the details before sewing. This will help the detail not to move around and changing slightly the initial position while sewing
3. Embroider the eyes between rows 22 and 23 with 4 stitches between them.
BRAIDS
• Cut 14 pieces of 10cm yarn
• Attach on the sides, two strings by two, above the arms of the doll symmetrically making a V shape. Start from row 12 of the hair and going up row by row to the sides.
• Braid the hair and use a piece of yellow color yarn to tight a knot on the edge.
