No sew mini Donut amigurumi free pattern

Materials:

  • 2mm crochet hook 
  • Beige and light pink. I used 100% cotton, DK, 6ply yarn.
  • A little colorful yarn for embroidering the sprinkles
  • Stuffing material
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle.
  • Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

Finish size: 8cm or (about) 3 inches

Terms and abbreviations (US terms):

Single crochet (sc): insert the hook into the stitch, pull up a loop yarn over the needle, you will have two loops on the hook, yarn over the needle and pull it through the two loops.

Increase (inc): make two single crochet inside the same stitch.

Decrease (dec): Insert hook into front loop only of next two stitches, yarn under, pull through, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn under and pull through both loops on the hook.

Back loop Slip stitch (blsl): Insert hook into the back loop only of the stitch, yarn under, pull through both stitch and loop on hook.

DONUT BOTTOM

With white yarn chain 18. Start crocheting in the first chain, closing a circle.

1 rnd  18sc

2 rnd  (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

3 rnd  (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

4 rnd  (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts

5 and 6 rnd  36sc

• Change to pink yarn or the color of the topping you are working with.

7 rnd  36blsl

• Cut the yarn and fasten if off.

DONUT TOP

• Turn this detail you finished inside out, having the wrong side facing you and the right side facing in.

• Add the pink yarn (or the color of the topping you are working with) in one stitch of the foundation chain and start working,

1 rnd  18sc

2 rnd  (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

3 rnd  (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

4 rnd  (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts

5 to 7 rnd    36sc

• Fold the donut with the wrong side facing each other, and the right side facing out.

• Here, you will have 36sc with the pink that you are working on, and on the other side, 36blsl.

• For the next round, you will crochet together the sides, closing the donut.

• You will grab the back loop of the sc, and the front loop of the blsl on the other side. And make a slip stitch crocheting together the sides.

8 rnd  36sl

IMPORTANT: once you reach about 28sl, stop to add stuffing material before continuing to close the donut!

• Cut the yarn and fasten it off.

FINAL DETAILS

  1. With a different color yarn, add a couple of sprinkles on top of the donut.
