- 2mm crochet hooks,
- Light brown, dark brown and white sports-weight yarn

- Sewing needle,
- Stuffing material hypoallergenic polyester,
- Scissors
Finished Size
The finished amigurumi coffee cup measures approximately 2.2″ (5.5 cm) tall. However, the final size may vary depending on your stitch tension and the materials used.
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, so feel free to use a hook size that matches your chosen yarn. I always recommend using a slightly smaller hook to keep the stitches tight and prevent the stuffing from showing through. If needed, adjust your hook size for a neater finish.
However, if you’d like to know the gauge for my chosen yarn and materials, here it is:
With sport-weight yarn and a 2mm crochet hook, the gauge for 5 rounds (increasing to 30 stitches) measures approximately 1.6″ (4.5 cm).
Useful Crochet Tutorials
Before we start, I leave a link to all the stitches tutorials I used to complete this pattern. If you are a complete beginner or not familiar with some techniques, there is a blog post with step-by-step images with descriptions, and video tutorials.

FAQ about Crochet Keychain
Yes, you’re welcome to sell the finished items you make using my patterns. Just please don’t copy, repost, or sell the pattern itself.
I recommend 100% cotton yarn for structure and durability, especially since keychains are handled often. But you can experiment, just keep your tension tight.
Absolutely. You can use any yarn you like, just be sure to adjust your hook size to match the yarn so you don’t end up with loose gaps and see-through holes in your stitches.

Oh Ana!!! I love the coffee cup. I have to make it!!!! Love your tutorials.. pat Brown, Atlanta Georgia USA
Thank you Pat!!! And you are so welcome! I am happy you like it!!
Hi Anna,
I’m working on the coffee cup and after round five shouldn’t I still be using brown yarn to complete the round in the back loops instead of white?
Max
Ohhh! Yes Max, you change to white yarn after round 6! I wrote in wrong place there, I just corrected.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention!!!
Thank you for all you share for us! You try to make everything you design and adore them so much!
Max
I love everything you make
Thank you so much for sharing with us I hope you and your family are doing well. I don’t know how you do it all with a toddler. I’m sure she keeps you on your toes thank you again..
Judy……
Hey Judy! Thank you so much for the kind comment! We are doing good, thank you!! It is a bit overwhelming sometimes but, crochet is my passion. I do it with love and it feels like I am resting sometimes! Thank you for always being here with me!
I love it! I’m new to crochet and I’m making one for a friend as a gift, but the light brown section at the transition isn’t coming out smooth—it has a kind of ridge instead. I’m using BLO single crochet there, but it doesn’t look like yours. Do you have a video or any tips? _♥from Brazil
Oi Fran!!! Eu vou responder em Portugues! Sou brasileira! ❤️❤️ Although, when explaining crochet patterns, I think Im better with english! LOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqBpKauDEak minuto 12:19
Hello Ana. For the bottom of the cup, you say connect white yarn to row 21 on the inside front rows. This only makes one row but it takes more to finish the bottom. How is this done please? It’s also really hard to attach to the front loops of toe 21. Is there a trick to this???
Thank you
Hey Lissa! I think this video can help you out better than my words!
This tutorial is for the Elf girl, but the technique used at the bottom is the same as in the coffee cup
