Dog Amigurumi rattle free crochet pattern

Today I share this Sleepy Dog amigurumi rattle crochet pattern. It is a simple pattern, suitable for amigurumi beginners and, is fast to crochet! So if you are looking for a fast crochet project for a baby shower gift, this is the right one for you!

Cat baby rattle toy free amigurumi pattern

Materials:

  • 2mm crochet hook 
  • Light worsted (or DK) yarn in two colors of you preference (I used 100% acrylic for this pattern)
  • Black yarn for the eyes. 
  • Stuffing material
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle.
  • Rattle noise of your choice (here is what I use).
  • Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.

Finish size: 17cm or (about) 6,6 inches

Start with white color yarn start,

1 row  6sc in a magic ring

2 row  6inc Total 12sts

3 row  (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts

4 row  (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

5 row  (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts

6 row  (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts

7 row  (5sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 42sts

8 row  (6sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 48sts

9 row  (15sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times Total 51sts

10 to 17 row  51sc

18 row  (15sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times Total 48sts

• Add stuffing material before continuing to row 23.

24 and 25 row  24sc

• Change to brown yarn,

26 row  24sc

• Start adding stuffing material every 5 rows,

• Change to white yarn,

27 and 28 row  24sc

• Change to brown yarn,

29 row  24sc

• Change to white yarn,

30 and 31 row  24 sc

• Change to brown yarn,

32 row  24sc

• Change to white yarn,

• Change to brown yarn,

• Stop here for finish stuffing the  bunny rattle amigurumi,

55 row  (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts

• Cut the yarn, fasten off and hide the remaining tail inside the toy,

EARS

With brown yarn start,

1 row  6sc in a magic ring

2 row  (1inc, 2sc) repeat 2 times Total 8sts

3 row  (1inc, 3sc) repeat 2 times Total 10sts

4 row  (1inc, 4sc) repeat 2 times Total 12sts

5 row  (1inc, 5sc) repeat 2 times Total 14sts

6 row  (1inc, 6sc) repeat 2 times Total 16sts

7 row  (1inc, 7sc) repeat 2 times Total 18sts

8 row  (1inc, 8sc) repeat 2 times Total 20sts

9 row  (1inc, 9sc) repeat 2 times Total 22sts

10 to 12 row  22sc

• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

• Make another one following the same instructions.

NOTE: Here, I made one ear in brown and another one in white.

For the white ear, I add some brown spots following:

1st dot: 6sc in a magic ring, join with a sl

2nd dot: 8hdc in a magic ring, join with a sl

• Fasten off and sew it in one of the ears.

ASSEMBLY

  1. Sew the ears between rows 4 and 5 of the head, going down taking 7 rows in length. Leave 14 stitches between one to another on the front side of the face.
  2. Embroider the eyes in row 10 leaving 4 stitches in between them.
  3. Embroider the nose 2 rows under the eyes.
