Every mom deserves a superhero cape sometimes, and this one actually gets to wear one! This Crochet Super Mom is a playful amigurumi doll with her mask, cape, embroidered Super M, and a little baby wrapped around her waist. Like my Mommy Doll, all her clothes and accessories are removable, so children can dress her up, carry her baby, and create their own stories and adventures.
This crochet doll is made for imaginative play, with lots of little details that children can interact with. The dress, shoes, cape and mask, the baby, and crocheted wrap can all be removed, so they can dress her up, take care of her baby, and create their own little stories. She stands about 28 cm (11 inches) tall, and I’ve included lots of step-by-step pictures to make this amigurumi doll easy and enjoyable to crochet.

More Crochet Toys for Kids to Make
If you enjoy making crochet toys that are more than just something cute to look at, I have a few more fun designs you might want to try. From adorable rattles for little hands to larger amigurumi with removable clothes and accessories, these patterns are made to inspire imaginative play.
The Giraffe Rattle is a fun choice if you love the giraffe details on this doll, while the Cow Rattle has its own adorable design and is perfect for little ones to hold and play with. And if you’re looking for something bigger, my Snuggle Bunny is about 35 cm (14 inches) tall and comes with a removable jumper, carrots in his pocket, and a little bunny tucked into the basket bag he carries. He’s practically a little character of his own!

- 3mm crochet hook,

Finished Size
The finished crochet doll measures approximately 11″ (28 cm) tall. However, the final size may vary depending on your stitch tension and the materials used.
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, so feel free to use a hook size that matches your chosen yarn. I always recommend using a slightly smaller hook to keep the stitches tight and prevent the stuffing from showing through. If needed, adjust your hook size for a neater finish.
Gauge for the Cape is included with the cape instructions.

- After every row, turn the work and chain 1 before starting the next row.
- When working on the wrong side (even rows), always pull the yarn to the front of the work when doing the color change!
- GAUGE: 10cm x 10cm = 20sc x 23rows
- The color change technique used for this chart is carrying along the yarn.
- At the end of the chart, attach the yarn to each of the edges and chain 15.
CAPE: With blue yarn, chain 33, skip the first chain and start:

Assembly

- With blue yarn, embroider an S in the center part of the dress. Start between rounds 3 and 4, and finish between rounds 8 and 9. After that, embroider a soft-edged triangle around the S.
- Put the dress on and close the back part. You can either sew it (like I did) or attach a button for opening and closing.
- Add the shoes. Cut a piece of black yarn or a 30 cm piece of material for the lace.
- With the help of pins, add the hairpiece and sew it around the head.
- Attach the top of the hair detail with pins in the central part of the hair and organize the curls in a way that looks beautiful to you.
- Sew the top part in each of the 12 stitches. Then, move to the curls and sew only in the parts that you organized, so it leaves a little bit of hair movement.
- With the help of pins, find the best spot for the eyes or embroider at row 59 with 7 stitches between them.
- Embroider the eyebrow one row above the eye and one stitch to the side.
- For the baby, embroider two lines one row below the hat with one stitch between them.
