Chubby Tiger free amigurumi pattern
Materials:
- 2mm crochet hook
- For this chubby Tiber I chose dark orange, white and brown. Light worsted cotton (DK).
- Black thread for embroidering the eyes.
- Stuffing material
- Scissors
- Sewing needle.
- Or, you can use safety eyes! The position is at the end of this post.
Finish size: 8cm or 3 inches

HEAD
With white yarn start,
1rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 rnd (2sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 24sts
5 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
6 rnd (4sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
7 rnd (5sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
8 rnd (6sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 48sts
• Attach the brown color yarn and start working with both colors
9 rnd 48sc
10 rnd 12sc orange , 9sc brown, 13sc orange, 9sc brown, 6sc, orange
11 rnd only orange 12sc, 9BLsc, 13sc, 9BLsc, 6sc
12 rnd 10sc orange, 12sc brown, 9sc orange, 12sc brown, 5sc orange

• From here, continue working only with orange.
15 rnd only orange 12sc, 9BLsc, 13sc, 9BLsc, 6sc
16 rnd (6sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 42sts
17 rnd (5sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 36sts
18 rnd (4sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 30sts
19 rnd (3sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 24sts

• Stop here to add stuffing material before continuing to rnd 21.
21 rnd (1sc, 1dec) repeat 6 times Total 12sts
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and hide the remaining tail inside the toy.
PAWS
With brown yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in a magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd 12bpsc
• Change to orange color yarn.
4 and 5 rnd 12sc
• Next round you will crochet with both colors.
6 rnd 3sc in orange, 6sc in brown, 3sc in orange
• From here continue working only with orange
7 rnd 3sc, 6blsc, 3sc
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
• Make four of this detail in total.
EARS
Start with the orange yarn
1 rnd 6sc in magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (3sc, 1inc) repeat 3 times Total 15sts
• Change to brown yarn
5 rnd 15sc
• Change to orange yarn
6 rnd 15BLsc
7 rnd 15sc
• Cut the yarn, fasten off and make another one.
• With your fingers, fold the ears in half .
WHITE DETAIL
With white color start,
1 rnd 5sc in a magic ring. Chain 1 and turn
2 rnd 2sc, 3hdc in the same stitch, 2sc
• Cut the yarn and fasten off.
• Sew the white detail in the central part of the ear.
NOSE
With white yarn start,
1 rnd 6sc in magic ring
2 rnd 6inc Total 12sts
3 rnd (1sc, 1inc) repeat 6 times Total 18sts
4 and 5 rnd 18sc
• Cut the yarn and fasten off. Leave a tail for sewing it.
TAIL
Start with brown yarn
1 rnd 5sc in magic ring
2 to 4 rnd 5sc
• Change to orange
5 to 7 rnd 5sc
• Change to brown
8 rnd 5sc
• Change to orange
9 to 11 rnd 5sc
• Repeat rounds 8 to 11 one more time. At the end, you should have15 rounds in total.
• Cut the yarn leaving a piece for sewing and fasten off
ASSEMBLY
- Use pins to fasten the paws around the central round of the chubby body. Sew the paws.
- Pin the snout 2 rounds above the paws and sew with the length of 7 rounds.
- Sew the ears starting on the third round of the body and finishing at round 8.
- Embroider the eyes right above the snout leaving 7 stitches between them.
- Sew the tail four rounds above the paws.
- With the brown yarn, embroider the lines on the Tiger’s forehead.
